Cape San Blas is one of Florida's rarest finds.
This slender
peninsula of sugar-white sand juts into the emerald green
waters of the Gulf of Mexico in the center of Florida's northwest
coastline. For years St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, which
occupies the last 10 miles of the peninsula, was the only
sign of development. Now, the park has a friendly neighbor.
Barrier Dunes is a gated community development located just outside the gates of the State Park. Townhomes and palm trees, sand dunes and sea oats, lakes, boardwalks and beaches all blend to create a peaceful unspoiled environment in which to live and play. Many homes are available for week-end or week-long vacation stays, and can be rented through local vacation rentals companies. Some are also available as long-term rentals.
